The project of a building with office space which could also host a cultural centre and the public library was acquired on a piece of land, whose western boundary adjoins a square.

• The objectives of the study were:The unobstructed pedestrian access from the street to the square from the building's ground level.
• The distinct various and diverse functions

The cylindrical stairwell, which contrasts with the cubic volume of the building, identifies the main entrance and vertical movement. It acts as an imaginary separator of the different uses of each floor. The plasticity of the volumes, due to the oblique shape of the floor plan, creates an interesting play of chiaroscuro.
